God also speaks directly to His people.

God speaks His pleasure and displeasure, satisfaction and dissatisfaction, likes and dislikes.
God speaks to comfort us.
God speaks to give instructions.
God speaks to increase our conviction.

God speaks to reshape our focus.
God speaks whether people are listening or not.
God is still speaking today.
Are you listening?
It is my prayer that you will hear His voice, see His voice and do His voice.
]]>I want to remind you that life is a journey. It is more of a marathon than a sprint. So it is important to pace yourself so that you don’t get tired and lose focus.
You have to start living in 2023. The year 2022 is gone and will not come back again. So, you must let by gone be by gone. You have 365 days ahead of you that you should feature in. If you don’t let go of 2022, you won’t be able to make the most of 2023. Here are some suggestions I want you to take to heart…
Be patient: Patience is key to living well in 2023. It is the ability to wait or continue doing something despite difficulties with a positive attitude. As you go through each day, you must take it easy. Life is a process. So, be patient with yourself and the process. If you are impatient, you will waste things unknowingly.
Live one day at a time: For you to get the best of this year, you must learn to take it a day at a time. If you do this, you will not complicate things, overload, or overburden yourself with too many tasks. God has given you grace for many things but not the grace to live two days at a time. You are designed to live one day at a time no more no less. Anxiety exists when we tend to live two days at a time. You can plan, but live daily.
Living in the moment helps you to free your time to do what is needed per time. You will travel faster if you learn to live one day at a time. You must be willing to unwrap the gift of each day that has been entrusted to you.
Keep your focus: To make the most of this year, you must learn to keep the most important thing as the most important thing. Have you decided what is important to you this year? Have you made up your mind about what you want to focus on this year? As you keep your focus, you will realize that you can sort things out faster. Focus helps you break difficult tasks into smaller ones. It also helps you to decide what you need to pay closer attention to and what you must defer or delegate.
Pursue purpose: The purpose of a thing is why the thing exists. There is a reason for this year and you ought to find it if you want to make the best of it. There is a reason for the time you have, the resources that have been provided, and the relationship that you have. You must discover your purpose and pursue it single-mindedly.
Invest in your relationships: As you journey into this year, I want to remind you to invest in and protect the relationships you deem very important to you. Not every relationship you have is of equal importance and every relationship should be treated according to how important it is to you.
You must invest in your relationship with God first and foremost. He is your God, source, helper, and support system. He knows how to help you make the most of this year. Your relationship with God should be based on trust. He wants you to trust Him. To trust God is to rely on Him.
You must also develop a relationship with yourself. You need to love yourself and learn the power of self-discipline. You must also appreciate the need for self-development. The development of your relationship with yourself helps you to know your strength, weakness, and interests. As you know yourself, you can be patient with yourself and not allow others to put unreasonable and unhealthy expectation on you.
One of the best gifts you can give yourself is to be honest with yourself. Unfortunately, some people are not honest with themselves instead they are living in self-deception and they end up sabotaging themselves. If you are not honest with yourself, you will soon lose your self-respect and that of others. Don’t bite more than you can chew and learn to say no.
Your must also learn to develop your relationship with others. God uses people to lift people. Be observant. Watch out for and be able to differentiate between those who are with you, for you and against you so that you don’t become a victim of your circumstance. Please remember that not everyone has been sent to help and support you. Keep an open mind so that you don’t end up living in bitterness and unforgiveness.
Understand that people are not your source, God is. However, God can use them to resource you. It is important to be honest with others in the process and learn the place of respect.
I pray that God will help you to make the most of this year. You will not be stranded. God will also fulfil all your counsel and help you not to waste any moment or resources in Jesus’ name.
]]>God’s word reveals that the God who watches over you does not sleep nor slumber. He is ever faithful and committed to you. The good news is that this God invites you to pray to Him no matter where you find yourself or what is going on in your life. Can you imagine the God of the universe calling and inviting you to pray?
Prayer is one way to establish God’s interest in the earth. So, when you feel confused, one thing you can do is pray. When it seems you can’t hold things together, pray. When you are in doubt and unsure of what to do, learn to pray. Prayer is an antidote for worry. Prayer helps you to alleviate pressure. Prayer is a protective factor against the onslaughts of the devil. Prayer is a gateway to access heavenly treasure. There is a need to pray if you don’t want to fall victim to the spirit of this age. You must pray if you don’t want to be prey.
Prayer is a necessity for every child of God. The assurance is that when you pray in secret, God will reward you openly. You don’t have to suffer in silence when you can pray. Here is the deal, you can pray alone in your house, in the car, in the washroom, living room, boardroom, bedroom, living room, emergency room, or any room for that matter. You can also ask people to pray with you to reinforce you. You can also ask people to pray for you. Apostle Paul asked the body of believers to pray for Him. He also prayed for others. Jesus prayed for Peter. Prophet Samuel prayed for the children of Israel. James, the brother of Jesus encouraged us to pray for one another. You can pray in a group as well. You can pray in the open or in the closet. You can pray in the woods.
This is why you must belong to the body of believers who have your best interest at heart and who understand the place of intercession. As a member of God’s family, you are not alone. At every particular juncture, God has prepared people to pray for you. In the same vein, God has also prepared you to pray for others. Your prayer makes tremendous power possible. Amen!
You can pray everywhere and every time. You can pray in the morning, afternoon and at night. You can pray even in the middle of the night. You can pray when things are going in the right direction or not. You can pray when you feel like it or not. You can pray quietly or aloud. In fact, we are encouraged to pray without season.
Your prayer makes tremendous power possible
Prayer helps you to see things clearly. Prayer helps calm your nerves. Prayer helps you prevail over the challenges of life. We are encouraged to “fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]” (Heb 4: 16, AMPC).
WOW! When you pray, you will find grace to help in the time of need. The opposite is also true, when you don’t pray, you will not find grace to help even though it is available. What doubt does is to make us believe that there is no grace to help or that we will not find it. Doubt makes us struggle even when there is well-timed help available.
I pray that God will help us to develop that sense to pray when it seems that doubt wants to creep in so that we can experience the needed support and find grace to help per time.
Please share your experience with us, what you do normally do when there is a need? When in doubt do you usually pray or worry?
Do you have something you want us to pray about? Please share with us: [email protected]
]]>There are a few things that are good for all humans everywhere to engage in. For example, marriage is a good thing, helping others is a good endeavor, and living a purposeful life is also a good thing. Enjoying life is a good thing. Eating well is a good thing. Living in peace with everyone around you is a good thing. Spreading the good news of the kingdom of God is a good thing. Being grateful is in that category as well. Every day we find ourselves in the land of the living, we must engage in gratitude for the blessings we have received. In other words, we must all develop an attitude of gratitude. According to Cicero: “Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others.”
The good news is that if not for God’s mercy and lovingkindness, many of us will not be alive today. If left to the devil you would have been dead by now. The grave would have swallowed you up. You will have been killed. But thanks be to God who has not given you to the will of our enemy. Please remember that only the living can praise God. The dead cannot praise Him. If you are breathing today, you must praise Him!
Not only that, we must learn to thank God for everyone that has imparted our lives- good or bad. Some of us don’t know what we are enjoying. So, we take people’s benevolence and good gesture for granted. We need to thank God for whatever we have passed through because many of us will not be where we are today for the better if we did not pass through those things. Sometimes you must learn to thank God for that mean person who has caused your life to take a different shape. It may not have been palatable at that time, but now if you are to carefully reflect on it, you would know that God is the one at work.
No matter where you are today, there is someone to be grateful to God for. Sometimes we can be blinded by our circumstances and the prayers that have not been answered yet or the favor that we have not received that we cannot see God’s hands in our lives.
Being grateful to God should come from knowing that God is sovereign and works everything after the counsel of His will. When we understand this, we can trust His wisdom, love, and ability to make everything works out for us.
I want to encourage you to take the effort to say thank you to God and those He has inspired in one way or the other to impact your life. Instead of complaining about what has not been working, let’s thank God for what has worked and what is working even though it is not all that we want to experience. Instead of concentrating on who is not with us, we must thank God for those people who are with us and have stuck with us through thick and thin. Instead of complaining about the opposition, let’s be grateful that we even have a position that people can contest.
When was the last time you engage in doing the good thing?
Researchers have found that when we are grateful, it can change our mood, helps us to be mindful, and causes us to be optimistic. It can also help us to lead a more satisfying life. It can change our perspective on life. No wonder the psalmist advised that it is a good and beautiful thing to give thanks to the Lord. When was the last time you engage in doing a good thing?
]]>Knowing the questions to ask in any situation is key. It’s been said that there are no foolish questions. Unfortunately, some people don’t ask questions because they don’t want others to think of them as fools. Accordingly, we see people who want to ask questions to humiliate others. Asking questions also reveal our level of intelligence. Asking questions reveal our vulnerability and it helps us to be adventurous at the same time. There are some things you won’t know unless you ask questions. If you want to know people’s secrets, you must be willing to ask them questions.
Asking question is an art. It can lead us to people’s deepest secrets. It can open the door of favor to you. It can help us to learn from everything and everyone around us. If you don’t want to live in assumptions, you must learn how to ask questions. Asking questions can help us connect the dots and put pieces of puzzle together.
We also ask questions to affirm and establish what we know. To redirect our attention to something important. if we as God’s people want to acquire knowledge and increase our understanding of the nature of things we must ask questions.
We need to understand that when (timing) we ask question is very important to what we ask and why we ask. It is also important to know how we ask and who we ask. For example we can ask the right question at a wrong time from the wrong person and for the wrong reason and in a wrong way. Asking some certain questions can also shut you off from securing people’s favor and can sometimes get you into trouble. So, we must beware.
Interestingly, God was the first person to ask the first question in the history of our world. God asked His first creation Adam who was made in His image and likeness because He wants to know His whereabouts. Adam misbehaved and hid from God as a way to cover his mess. He left where God put Him. He abandoned His place of assignment. Since Adam was nowhere to be found, God asked: Adam, where are you? Let’s examine the ramifications of this question:
1. Location: God wanted to know where Adam was because he has left the place where He has originally put Him. God was looking for him where He left him. He was supposed to be in Eden to “dress and keep it” (Gen 2: 15). He was supposed to take care of His environment. In other words, his environment was his assignment; he was meant to dress and keep it. Many of us have left our duty post because we have left our position. Our ability to function effectively is rooted in our position.
Your location also determines the scope of your authority, what you are authorized to do, and the backing that you enjoy. God will only support what He commanded. Your location is also a conduit for your provision and protection. It is important to understand that your position will attract opposition. Your authority will be challenged. Remember they challenged Moses’ authority. They asked him: “who has put you as a judge over us” (Exo 2: 14).
“Your environment is your assignment. You are to dress and keep it”
Our assignment has a geographical dimension to it. You are not sent to everyone. You are not meant to be everywhere. You are not meant to be everything to everyone everywhere and every time. Some of us want to be everywhere and we end up nowhere.
Where has God placed you? Are you there? Where are you in relation to where God has put you? Where is your location? Are you doing what you are supposed to be doing where God has placed you? Where are you in connection to where you should be? Some of us have lost our place and have become wanderers on the earth. God is calling you to retrace your steps to where He has originally placed you.
Your position will attract opposition.
Don’t allow yourself to be lost in the world. Be where you ought to be. Concentrate your energy doing what God wants you to do where you are. Remember the grass will always look greener on the other side of the fence because someone there has taken up the challenge to remain where they are to keep it green. If you work in and on your garden too, there is nothing stopping your grass from becoming and remaining green.
God is calling you to retrace your steps to where He has originally placed you.
As parents, be there physically and emotionally with and for your children. As couples, God expects you to dwell with your spouse with understanding. As long as you work together with your spouse, you can build a peaceful home. As employers, be there for your employees. Let them feel the joy of your presence. As pastors, be there with and for your flocks. As a student, be present in the classroom. Wherever you are, be there.
If you work in and on your garden too, there is nothing stopping your grass from becoming and remaining green.
Are you progressing or regressing? Are you making forward movement or excuses? Are you advancing or dwelling on your regrets? Are you going forward or backward? Where are you in your career?
2. Disposition: Where are you is also a question of disposition- mental, character, and attitude. God was asking about Adam’s disposition. His orientation about life. His bearing. His true north. God’s plan was for Adam to stay connected to Him so that He can be his source and then resource Him. We saw Adam who was scared and hid himself from God’s presence. What is your disposition towards life? Deception occurs when we don’t have a firm grip on our disposition. Your disposition activates your discretion. How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as God’s responsibility or a liability? Do you see yourself as a blessing or a burden?
How do you see God? For some reason, Adam ran away from God instead of running to Him. He ran away because He was afraid and naked. No matter what you’ve done wrong, there is one thing that I will encourage you to do, run to God. If you are on the run, you can change your mind and run back to God. His hands are opened and He is always willing to welcome you back home. He is ready to give you a new lease on life and an extreme makeover.
3. Direction: Where are you is also a question of direction. Where have you been? Where are you heading? What is your course of action? Having a sense of direction is key to your success and that of everyone around you.
Remember, Adam dragged Eve from God’s presence. There are some relationships today that are dragging people farther and further away from God. There are other relationships that are draining your energy. You need to be careful of the relationships you are keeping. It is been said that it is better to be alone than in a wrong company. Hanging around the wrong crowd can permanently change the direction and the course of your life. Life is not meant to be lived anyhow.
Having a sense of direction is key to your success and that of everyone around you.
God will show you the path of life. There’s a way to follow. Remember there is a way that seems right to a man. It is not the right way but it looks like the right way. You don’t want to get distracted from the place of destiny. Don’t lose your focus.
Your direction is directly linked to your destination. You cannot arrive at your true destination by taking the wrong routes. You will be lost if you are not taking the right road. Not everywhere leads to where you want to go. Because Adam has lost His sense of direction, He did not become everything He was capable of. Instead, he became afraid. It is my prayer that God will re-route you and re-direct your steps if you are going the wrong way.
4. Connection: This question of where are you has something to do with connection. God noticed that Adam was disconnected from Him. There was an spiritual and emotional disconnection. He wasn’t as close as he used to or ought to be. What he did put a distance between him and his creator. The relationship that was based on mutual understanding and fellowship is now based on fear. Adam cannot approach the Holy God again because of His actions.
If care is not taken, it is so easy for unimportant things to come between us and God. We can allow our job, ministry, service, relationships, and urgent issues that are not really urgent to come between us and separate us from God.
Although Adam heard and recognized God’s voice, he was no longer free to come boldly to His presence. He couldn’t draw closer to God. He was speaking to God from a distance. He was ashamed because He was naked. He became aware of his inadequacies. The same thing will happen to us when we are disconnected from God, we will become aware of our inadequacies and shortcomings. Instead of our shortcomings driving us to God, they will become a wedge that creates a distance between us. We must be concerned if there is something that is casting shadow over God’s goodness, faithfulness, mercy, love, kindness, compassion, and forgiveness in our heart.
How connected are you to God? How free are you with Him? What has driven or is driving a wedge between you and God? What has separated you from God? Jesus has come to deal with your sin. It is about time we drew near to God. It’s about time to answer the question, where are you? If God were to ask me the same question today, my answer will be “dear God, I am in the place you have put me doing what you ask me to do to the glory of your name. Amen!
]]>Everyone is shaped by the culture around them. However, as God’s people, we must embrace the culture of God’s kingdom to which we belong. We must remember that we are although we are in this world, we are not of the world. Our way of
life and view on life should be different from those who do not know God.
Unity is key if we want to experience the blessing of the Lord. One of the prayers that Jesus prayed for us before He left the earth is for unity. The reality is if we can be united in our homes, it will be easier to forge a united front with other believers. The culture of unity existed and still exists before Jesus Christ and His father. He said: “I and my Father are one” (Jn 10: 30). He’s calling each couple to experience this oneness as well in their marriage. He desires that husband and wife will become one. He said: “the two shall become one” (Mk 10: 8). They will become a formidable force that cannot be defeated, weakened, or destroyed.
The Love conference for couples is to give you tools that will help you rekindle and maintain this culture of oneness in your home. Please join us on July 16th @ 11am at 66 Moore Ave Winnipeg, to learn more about this.

]]>The challenge we have as God’s people is not necessarily the difficult times we face but our inadequate understanding of who God is. So, we allow the lies of our tough times to misrepresent God. We quickly forget His nature, attributes, and character. We struggle to see what He is up to when we face some challenges in life. God wants us to know Him because it is in the process of knowing Him that we can leverage what we know to contradict whatever wants to cloud our judgment and stop us from making the best of our difficult circumstances.
When we know that God is for us then we can do life differently. We can make lemonade out of our lemon experiences. When life throws stones at us, we can convert them into stepping stones and building blocks. When life criticizes us, we can use the information as a backdrop to greatness and improve our performance. We can ride on our storm with grace and like an eagle, we can soar above anything that wants to stop us.
In this book 8 foundational things you must know when you are going through a tough time and a rough patch, I argue that we can use what God has revealed about Himself to challenge ourselves to make the best of life and to contradict every voice that is constantly speaking against our well being.
When you understand who is for you, it does not matter who or what is against you because you know that you are more than a conqueror. May you be blessed as you read it. Please share it with others in your circle of influence to encourage them.

]]>It is about God’s commitment to the human race: God is so committed to the human race that He found a way to get us back to Him. As you celebrate this Christmas, I want you to remember that God is committed to you for life. No matter what is happening in your life right now, don’t ever lose sight of the fact that God is with you and for you. He has come to dwell with us permanently. As you step into the New Year, remember that God is committed to you. He said that He will never leave or forsake you. He will perform His promises to you.
It is about God’s love: The Bible reminded us that God so loved the world… (Jn 3: 16) The word “so” in this statement speaks to the quality and the intensity of that love. It talks of the extent of His love for you that He was willing to do anything to get you back. God is so relentless about His love for you that He continually pursues you. God loves you to the extreme that He does not care about what it will cost Him to have you Himself. His love for you is very deep and it is everlasting. His love is mighty, marvelous and great.
His love cannot be compared to anything. He loves you distinctively. If you are the only one in the world today, Jesus would still have died for you. God so much loved you that He gave His best for you. Jesus is God’s best that you will ever get. The Bible reminded us that because you have Jesus, there is nothing else He won’t give to you in addition to Him. As you go on with your life, I want you to continually remember that you are loved. Even if everyone leaves you, God will not. God does not joke with you. His love is protective and will stabilize you. So, abide in His love.
It is about restoration: The entrance of Jesus into our world is to restore us to where we belong. He restored us to the image of God that we are. Remember all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Thank God for Jesus because in Him we have been restored. The good news is that because of Jesus we are no longer short of God’s glory.
Not only that because of Jesus, we have hope for tomorrow. No matter the challenges that we face today, tomorrow holds a better promise. We who believe in God have been born again into a lively hope. We don’t operate on false hope. We don’t assume that we have hope; rather, we know that we have hope in God. We end up bubbling with hope. Therefore, I encourage you not to despair or be depressed but to hope in God.
It is about family: God loves people. God loves and cares for His family. The birth of Jesus reminds us that family including yours is important to God and it should be important to us as well. You must take your family seriously and seek the best of everyone in it. No matter the dysfunction that is going on within your family, God still loves it. Even those who you think are annoying because of the way they are behaving, God still cares for them.
When you look at Jesus’ lineage, as outlined in the gospels, you will realize that He did not come from a perfect family either. People still have their issues but God can bring out treasure in what seems to be garbage. When you trust Him with your family, He can do wonders with them. It is about time you began to look at your family from God’s eyes. People will still be people and God will remain God. As long as God is God, you can’t afford to write anyone off. God has a plan and He will bring beauty out of your ashes experience.
You will have the last laugh: God has a way of turning situations around to His glory. He has a way of causing people to laugh. So, no matter how life has beaten you down, God will cause you to smile again. You may not be laughing right now but you will laugh at last because God has set the ball rolling for you. He will give you a reason to rejoice. Amidst the tension that was going on when Jesus was born, the Angel announced that Jesus’ birth has brought glad tidings to all people. It is your season of good news. I pray that you will hear God’s voice of loving-kindness in Jesus’ name.
Nothing is impossible to God: The birth of Jesus reminded us that there is nothing impossible for God to do. God can bring something out of what is not or has never being in existence. He has the power to turn your situation without your input. He has the power to turn darkness into light, confusion and chaos into peace. He has a way of making things work out. So, no matter how impossible the situation is, you cannot write it off because God is involved.
When Angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she will have a Son, it looked impossible to her because there is nothing in history that supported what the Angel was saying. But God can do what only He can do without any human agency. Maybe it is about that time you shifted your focus from looking to people to looking to God. Stop looking at who is not there to God who is always there. Stop thinking that what you have is not enough. God can fulfill His promises to you without the help of anyone or anything. He has done it before and He will do it again. It may seem impossible to you but not with God. He can handle it.
No fear: The birth of Jesus reminds us that there is nothing to be afraid of. He told Mary that she should not fear. He also announced to the shepherds that they should not be afraid. He wants me to tell you also that you should not be afraid because there is nothing to fear. If God said that there is nothing to fear that is exactly what He is saying. No matter what your fears are or what you are afraid of, He said that there is nothing to fear. God said that He will take care of it. Contrary to what many of us have come to believe, the devil is not in the detail, God is. When you know this, you know that there is nothing to fear no matter how scary the situation is. You may not know the way out but God is the way and as you trust Him He will reveal Himself to you as the way and the way maker.
Goodwill extended: The angels announced that God’s goodwill has been extended towards all people on whom His favor rests. In other words, you have found favor with God. The birth of Jesus is a reminder that He has a friendly disposition towards you. His thoughts towards you are very good, pleasant, and beautiful every time and every day and in every way. Unfortunately, some Christians have this erroneous belief that God is angry with them and there is nothing they can do to please Him. I beg to differ, God is well pleased with you just as He was with Jesus. Receive His goodwill today because His favor has rested on you.
“God has a friendly disposition towards you…”
Jesus is still the reason for the season. Let’s celebrate Him for only Him deserves the glory and the honor. Amen!
